The first bright blooms of spring have arrived

The cold wet winter delayed the blooms but they are finally ready.  The first round of daffodils are popping up daily and Tulips should be right behind them.

Farming By Accident

This was totally not part of the plan. We were city dwellers for most of our married life but we found this beautiful property in 2019 and fell in love with the creek access and backyard.

Bellagio our Italian Greyhound of 18 years was the the inspiration for the backyard farm and he was with us through some really hard times.

Covid changed our perspective and we wanted more family time. We decided to turn the back yard into something more productive then the field of overgrown weeds and grass Some people bought Peloton's we bought Alpacas. Oh and a pelton too lol.

Next we started with planting 100 fruit trees, a berry garden and our first small pumpkin patch. Then came the Sun Flowers and Tulips and now over 25 different flowers and vegies. The family fun and joy fo growing things in the backyard has been a game changer and we can't wait to share our backyard farm with our neighbors and local community.
